Hello from Oakland, California.  I’m Gabrielle.  This business grew out of my love of travel.   Most of the items I sell are unique, so the offerings on this web site are always changing.

Mangosteen sells products that support several great organizations, including The Emancipation Network (TEN), BaBa Blankets Sewing Cooperative and Mitra Bali Foundation.

TEN provides shelter and business development training for women who are survivors of human trafficking or at risk of being trafficked.  You can buy their beautiful handcrafted items under the “Fight Human Trafficking” button. 

BaBa Blankets is a womens cooperative in Accra, Ghana that strives to stem the migration of young women into cities for menial jobs by creating good jobs and providing scholarships.  You can learn more about them and buy their unique products made from traditional hand-dyed fabrics under the "Fair Trade Button."

Mitra Bali helps small artisans, who are left out of the tourism market, earn a living wage by providing design and marketing assistance.
